Starting Oct. 4, I-275 through downtown Tampa will shut down its northbound side. This major change lasts until Oct. 6 while crews work on bridge upgrades. This new structure will link cars from I-275 South to I-4 East. This shutdown marks a big step in fixing Tampa's traffic flow problems. The added bridge aims to cut down on the daily traffic jams that build up when drivers switch from I-275 South to I-4 East.
