Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is dealing with nerve irritation in his glute, which caused him to be held out of Tuesday's practice, according to head coach JJ Redick:ESPN's Dave McMenamin previously reported that James plans to be "overly cautious" when it comes to his health during the 2025-26 season.
To that end, McMenamin reported Tuesday on NBA Today that James "will be limited in his on-court participation" when the Lakers have their first practice.
Despite being the oldest active player in the NBA, LeBron has continued to show remarkable durability.
James did suffer a sprained MCL in the Lakers' season-ending loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series last season.
James also noted that it was the first knee injury he suffered in his 22-year career.
