(News-Press NOW) -- Northwest Missouri Junior High and High School cheerleading teams traveled to Liberty North High School to compete in the Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association KC Regional Competition. Central High School took first place in the 5A small regional competition. Savannah High School also scored first place in the small Coed 1A-3A regional competition. Other area schools that competed also include: Platte County High School, which placed third in the 4A large competition; Cameron High School, which placed second in the 2A large competition. The MCCA St. Louis Regional Competition will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Missouri.
