Warrington Borough Council says that garden waste and cardboard items will not currently be accepted at Woolston recycling centre. It follows an incident of vandalism today, Monday, meaning that the recycling of those items is unavailable at present. Those looking to dispose of garden waste or cardboard should instead visit Gatewarth recycling centre in Sankey Bridges, which is open from 8am until 6pm. In a statement, a council spokesman said: “Due to vandalism, we cannot currently accept garden waste or cardboard at Woolston recycling centre“We would ask anyone wanting to recycle those items to use Gatewarth recycling centre instead, which is open from 8am until 6pm.”
