Many of you emailed to say that this was not in Marlow but in Headington near Oxford and has been a local landmark for ages. The photo taken by Malcolm McIntyre-Ure in about 1965 where he had written on the back of the print ‘these lads asked me to take their photo’. These ‘lads’ are Peter Cole, Barry Turner (at the back), Richard Bradley, Ernie Beaver ,Greg Winning and Tony Gryckiewicz, and was probably taken outside the Natwest Bank in the High Street. Here are four more Marlow photographs, these are all on the SWOP website www.swop.org.uk, for which we are seeking further information.
