ZUMBROTA, Minn. — The residents above a laundromat in Zumbrota are displaced following a fire on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025.
The Zumbrota Fire Department and Zumbrota Police Department found the back of the Main Street Laundry on East Third Street "fully involved by fire" around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a statement from the police department.
"At this time, the apartment is unable to be occupied and the residents are displaced," the statement said.
Four residents were also temporarily displaced in May 2024 due to smoke damage after a fire at the laundromat.
The Zumbrota Area Ambulance Service, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Minnesota Department of Transportation also assisted during the fire.
