"We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Leanne McGovern, beloved wife of former Northern Ireland goalkeeper Michael McGovern," the Irish FA posted on their official 'X' page. McGovern, who won 32 caps for his country, was one of the stars for Northern Ireland during Euro 2016 producing a memorable performance against Germany.
