Port Adelaide have landed a coup with premiership winner Stuart Dew returning the club as their new senior assistant coach. The 46-year-old is a close friend and 2004 premiership teammate of new Power senior coach Josh Carr. “I couldn’t be more excited to be heading back to my former club as a senior assistant coach,” Dew said in a Port statement. But the former Gold Coast Suns senior coach now becomes the first key figure to leave the Lions in the afterglow of the grand final. “I would like to thank the Brisbane Lions Football Club for the opportunity to be a part of such a successful era for the club,” Dew said in a Brisbane statement.
