Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has named Dr Emma McComb as the Community Climate Champion for August. The council stated this was in recognition of her commitment to sustainability and support for her local community. Dr McComb, who has a PhD in sustainability focusing on urban sustainable tourism, has worked to increase environmental awareness and action. The council stated: "Equally committed to inspiring the next generation, Emma leads by example as a mother of four. "From organising community litter picks to promoting sustainable habits at home, she encourages her children and others to play an active role in protecting the natural world.
