A prominent Nigerian medical practitioner in the United States, Dr. Olumide Osoba, has passed away. His death was confirmed to SaharaReporters by his family on Tuesday night shortly after the he passed on. Dr. Osoba’s educational journey began at Lagos Anglican Boys Grammar School in Abuja, after which he attended the University of Lagos, earning an MBBS (Honors) from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL). Known for his exceptional clinical skills and compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Osoba served as the Emergency Room Director at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Osoba was widely respected for his mentorship of Nigerian foreign medical graduates, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in the medical profession.
