What to know:Japan’s SoftBank and Ark Invest are among the firms in early talks to invest in Tether’s fundraising round, Bloomberg reported.
The report follows this week’s news that the stablecoin issuer is looking to raise up to $20 billion at potentially a $500 billion valuation.
Tether is the issuer of the world’s largest stablecoin, the $173 billion USDT token, and recently announced its intention of entering the U.S. market with a new token.
Tech-focused investment companies SoftBank and Ark Invest are among the firms in early stage talks to invest in Tether, issuer of the world’s largest stablecoin USDT (USDT), Bloomberg reported on Friday.
