On the eve of a historic movement that will usher in the free passage of nationals from four CARICOM countries, including Barbados, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley is clarifying the process for citizens of Belize, Dominica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines as part of full free movement, which officially starts tomorrow. In a statement, Prime Minister Mottley indicates that nationals of any of these pioneering countries must present their passport upon arrival in Barbados. She says immigration will record their entitlement to indefinite stay in the electronic system, and the information will be securely shared with the relevant national agencies to ensure visitors can move forward in an orderly way. PM Mottley adds that children who need school places will be registered through the Ministry of Educational Transformation, and access to emergency and primary health care will be on the same terms as citizens.
