The Rotary Club of Lekki Golden has urged all levels of government to invest in teachers and improve public school infrastructure to ensure quality education for Nigerian children. President of the club, Christiana Okenla made the appeal during the “Pack to School” project, part of activities marking Basic Education and Literacy Month. Rotary International has seven areas of focus, and one of them is basic education and literacy. Atolabi Akintayo, emphasized the need for adequate learning resources and qualified teachers in public schools in Nigeria. The students and head teacher, Mr. Solomon thanked the Rotary Club for the donations and called on the government to make education more accessible, improve learning environments with basic infrastructure and address challenges such as hunger among schoolchildren.
