Park Ridge Farmers Market Commission (FMC) chair and co-Market Master Stephanie Goodrich publicly aired her frustration with the city council’s handling of the commission’s recommendation for the farmers market’s future.
The Farmers Market currently uses the private parking lots for vendor and customer parking.
One factor cited against “the Taste configuration” was that it would disrupt the Farmers Market, and farmers need to be able to sell their products every week.
“We have farmers coming from Michigan, Wisconsin that have, for many years, been getting to the Farmers Market at four in the morning.
“I’m really not sure why the recommendation was put on the Farmers Market Commission to be completely dismissed, and for the commission to waste the past two years discussing [locations].
