Nearly $190 million in "excessive, wasteful" spending has been found in Broward County, Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said Tuesday.

Taking into consideration inflation and population growth, DOGE auditors found about $190 million of that was excessive and wasteful, Ingoglia said.
"It’s a teachable moment and if they find some things that we can do better, we’ll do better," Furr said.
Ingoglia said similar audits in Hillsborough, Jacksonville, Alachua, and Orange counties have found over $750 million total in what he says is wasteful spending.
