By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Culture and Immigration has announced a landmark achievement for Belize with the election of Kennedy Carrillo to Part III of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council. The newly elected Council members will serve a three-year term, guiding the organization’s work on international standards, safety, and sustainability in air transport. Before this milestone, Carrillo served as Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation. In her new role, she will represent Belize on the ICAO Council, headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
