Brundidge man sentenced to 12 years on drug charges Published 5:51 pm Tuesday, September 30, 2025Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas said a Brundidge man had been sentenced to more than 12 years on federal drug charges. Thomas said Michael Sanford, 54, of Brundidge, was sentenced to 150 months for conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, methamphetamine, in U.S. federal court on Thursday, Sept. 25. PCSO Narcotics Lt. Carlton Bean testified in the hearing that he purchased one ounce on each buy on two separate days. A Drug Enforcement Agent also testified about the DEA’s work in the case. “This sentencing stops him from selling drugs to so many in our county and surrounding areas.
