And “The Tastes & Traditions of Troy State University” are so embedded in Troy University alumni and followers that First Lady Janice Hawkins presented the idea of “A Collection of recipes from the TSU System Family” and lead the effort to make “The Tastes & Traditions of Troy State University” a reality in 1994. Tiny Troy Normal School fielded its first football team in 1911, a club sport that played area high schools and other university clubs. Women’s Basketball, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis, Baseball, Softball, Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf, Men’s Track, Women’s Track. Thanks to the Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge for the loan of “The Tastes & Traditions Troy State University.”
