A series of threats against high schools in Rapides Parish has those schools on edge. So far, five juveniles have been arrested, but Pineville Representative Mike Johnson says current laws are way too lenient. Johnson says it’s not just the juvenile perpetrators who need to be held accountable for these threats. If there’s some way to make the parent of the child also join the team of trying to deter this, by including parents. If possible, civil, maybe even criminal accountability like we have in some situations,” Johnson said.
