The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what appears to have been an attempted murder-suicide involving a mother and her three children early Monday morning, Sept. 29. “The information we received was that the children and the mother were by the water. The mother never regained consciousness and was unable to breathe on her own at the scene, Meyers said. According to Meyers, the father told investigators he heard a commotion in the front yard, possibly yelling from the children. The father drove to the area where the children were, though investigators have not specified whether he used a car or an off-road vehicle.
