President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in Glasgow, Scotland, to begin a three-day working visit to the United Kingdom, undertaken at the invitation of His Majesty King Charles III. The President, accompanied by First Lady Mutinta Hichilema, landed at Glasgow Airport at 13:15 local time (14:15 Zambian time) aboard a commercial flight. On arrival, they were received by Zambia’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ms. Macenje Mazoka, along with members of the embassy staff. The official invitation by King Charles III highlights the enduring nature of the relationship between Zambia and the United Kingdom. The forum is expected to explore opportunities for deeper economic collaboration between the United Kingdom and Zambia.
