The man died in California, USA, while detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
This is not an isolated incident: recently, Silverio, another Mexican, died while allegedly fleeing a raid on September 12.
Since 2019, at least 69 migrants have died while in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), including several Mexican nationals.
In 2025, three Mexican immigrants died in ICE facilities, with causes ranging from medical neglect to suicide.
One recent case involved Miguel Ángel García Hernández, a 32-year-old Mexican detainee who died after being injured during a shootout at an ICE facility in Dallas.
