Ahead of the citywide observance, Vicksburg Family Development Services, in partnership with the Vicksburg Police Department, Youth Development Center, River Ridge Behavioral Health, United Way of West Central Mississippi, Vicksburg Warren School District, Positive Pathways and the Make a Promise Drug Free Coalition, will host a community “Trunk or Treat” event on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Vicksburg Mall. Participants are asked to avoid scary decorations and games to keep the event welcoming and efficient. Clean-up of individual spaces will be required following the event.
