Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani has approved the launch of an official electronic signature system for state institutions, the private sector, and citizens. The measure implements the Electronic Signature and Electronic Transactions Law No. Al-Sudani and Minister of Communications Dr Hiyam al-Yasiri carried out the first two official electronic signatures. The Prime Minister described the move as a significant step in fulfilling the government's programme commitments on digital transformation, automation, and simplification of procedures. Al-Sudani highlighted that the system, recognised internationally, will strengthen public confidence in government institutions and digital transactions covering all state and private sector dealings.
