The Pittsburgh Pirates will not renew the contracts of pitching coach Oscar Marin and third base coach Mike Rabelo, according to a league source. In addition, assistant pitching coach Brent Strom is retiring. Marin, 42, joined the Pirates prior to the 2020 season after coaching in the Rangers’ and Mariners’ minor league systems. Rabelo, 45, also joined the Pirates ahead of the 2020 season. Strom, 76, spent just one season with the Pirates after serving as a pitching coach with the Diamondbacks, Royals and Astros.
