UAE-based Dragon Oil has signed a series of strategic memoranda of understanding with key companies operating in Iraq's oil projects. According to the company, the memoranda open new opportunities to strengthen cooperation, support the energy sector, and develop infrastructure linked to the oilfields operated by Dragon Oil in Iraq. Dragon Oil is a privately held and wholly owned subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), which is owned by the government of Dubai. In May, Dubai-based Dragon Oil was part of a consortium that signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with Dhi Qar Oil Company (DQOC) to develop the Abu Amoud and Saba [Subba] oilfields in Dhi Qar Governorate.
