Tomorrow (Wednesday) is Oct. 1, and the Healthiest State Initiative and Delta Dental of Iowa are encouraging statewide participation in the 15th annual Healthiest State Walk. Event organizers are promoting residents in walking for just 30 minutes at anytime tomorrow (Wednesday) to kick off Healthiest State Month in October to raise awareness of where Iowa ranks nationally in rates for obesity, cancer, resources to support mental health and more. Individuals from all 99 counties across Iowa have registered for the free statewide walk, which can happen wherever you are. Businesses, schools, community organizations, and individuals are encouraged to register for free and participate in the at least 30-minute walk at their own convenience.
