THREE STUDENTS received scholarships worth $1,200 per year from St Vincent Building and Loan Association to pursue their Secondary Education. NewsTHE St Vincent Building and Loan Association (SVBLA) has awarded three students with scholarships to further their education at secondary schools. The 2025 SVBLA Scholarship Awards ceremony, which was held at their headquarters on August, 25,2025 under the theme, ‘No limits…Just Possibilities,’ saw Japhia Thomas- Gunn, Kyanna Browne and Micah Garraway being awarded with merit-based scholarships. Scholarship recipients are receiving $1,200 every year from forms one to three, and $1,400 from form four to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College- A Levels. One of the recipients, Japhia Thomas-Gunn, who has entered the St Vincent Girls’ High School on September, 1, 2025 told SEARCHLIGHT she feels “really good” about being a scholarship recipient.
