THE ASHLEY LASHLEY Foundation, with support from the United States Government, is implementing a local-level project entitled “Community-Driven Strategies for Stability and Resilience.” This initiative is being implemented from May to September 2025 in St. Lucia, St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG),and Grenada.
The two-day workshop included interactive discussions on resilience, focused group work, a private sector round-table, and training on advocacy and communications.
“As a young person myself, when I hear about resilience and when people talk about resilience in the Caribbean, for me, you as Vincentians don’t just talk about it.
I truly believe that you live by it,” Ashley Lashley, Executive Director of the Ashley Lashley Foundation said at the opening of the workshop.
“You live it when La Soufrière erupted on April 9th in 2021, forcing thousands from their homes, covering villages in ash, and leaving the island struggling to breathe and to rebuild.
