Tonight The Wick is once again on fire and this time residents are more fearful as it appears to be closer to home. An Essex County Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "Firefighters are currently at the scene of another fire at Middlewick Ranges in the Speedwell Road area of Colchester. David Smith called in the fire last night and once again informed the fire service of the blaze. He said: "It's a bigger fire than last night and this time its closer to our back garden. Last night crews from Colchester, Mersea and Coggeshall attended the site and managed to extinguish the fire within an hour according to a firefighter on the scene.
