The Colchester junior parkrun is a free, weekly and timed 2k park run for children aged four to 14 years old which is open to all. On Sunday Paxman Academy in Shrub End took over the event which took place at Old Heath Recreation Ground. A total of 94 active participants took part and 28 volunteers - which was considerably higher than normal due to the school's involvement. She added: “The smiles, determination, and teamwork on display were inspiring.”“Our school is proud to be part of the Colchester community, and events like these highlight how much can be achieved when we come together.
