During the same alleged incident Daniel Muzumara had also held the woman's neck, restricting her breathing, Ipswich Crown Court was told. On another occasion Muzumara had allegedly chased after the woman with a pan of boiling water and thrown it at her but it had fortunately missed her. Muzumara had also allegedly slapped and hit the woman's head after she refused to get on a bus to get drugs for him. He is also accused of threatening to kill her if she didn’t drop the charges against him. Muzumara of Cambie Crescent, Colchester, has denied two offences of assault by beating, intentional strangulation, witness intimidation, damaging property and assault causing actual bodily harm.
