Kevin Connolly, of no fixed abode in Swindon, had previously pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intention suffocation against a woman. Both incidents took place against the same victim on June 22, 2023 in the village of Netheravon when Connolly restricted her ability to breathe, constituting the battery of the victim. The hearing was adjourned to allow the probation service to complete a pre-sentence report about the defendant. He has been remanded on conditional bail and is due to be sentenced on Friday, December 12. Connolly is banned from contacting the victim either directly or indirectly.
