Police were called to the Travelodge on Princes Street during the night of September 10 and remained on the scene until the early hours of the morning on September 11. A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape, theft, and criminal damage. He has since been bailed; however, a police investigation remains ongoing. A spokesperson for the force said: “We have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of rape, theft, and criminal damage in connection with an incident at the Travelodge in Princes Street, Swindon, overnight from September 10 to 11. “He has been bailed while enquiries continue.”
