The project will be a multi-agency effort, with NICE teaming up with Green Hive and other local groups. A pilot project seeking to restore sand dunes at a Nairn beach has been launched in a bid to safeguard the area from flooding and coastal erosion. “So it gets more and more important that we start taking action now, and hopefully we can reduce those impacts from future storms. The project will entail working alongside existing local groups such as Green Hive and conservation charities such as Butterfly Conservation and RSPB. The working group will be meeting at Seaman’s Hall at 9.30am, with potental changes due to the weather.
