Multiple Greater Anglia routes were impacted after a tree came down between Colchester and Manningtree on Wednesday. The incident was reported at 7.23am and affected services between London Liverpool Street and Colchester Town, Walton-on-the-Naze, Clacton, Harwich Town, Ipswich and Norwich, and between Colchester and Colchester Town. “We would encourage anyone who was on this train to contact us directly,” the Greater Anglia spokesperson said. “Recovery of train services is being hindered by a track defect in the Ingatestone area and an earlier incident at Seven Kings. “Trains between Colchester and Colchester Town, Walton and Clacton may also be revised or delayed by up to 20 minutes while normal services resumes,” a spokesperson added.
