Last week, Central Connect, which provides services across Essex and at schools, came under fire from upset parents regarding its 331 and 333 bus services.
Braintree dad Ben Hinton's children, aged 11 and 14, take the Central Connect 333 service to Helena Romanes School, in Great Dunmow.
He was concerned regarding the “massive safeguarding” issues as the service was advertised as a ‘school bus’ but is also used by the public.
Helena Romanes School headteacher Mrs Davis expressed her “deep concerns” and said the situation has “caused both children and their parents’ unbelievable stress”.
“Thank you for your support of our bus services, and I am sorry that the start to the school year has not been how any of us would have hoped from a transport perspective.
