Crosfield Hall has faced uncertainty since the introduction of the South of Town Centre scheme, with proposals to demolish and relocate the site, which have been fought against by hundreds of residents. Bob Jones, acting chair of the Romsey & District Society, advocated for the reliance on a functioning community space for Romsey residents. "We have had to consider a replacement of the hall on the bus station site, of an improved standard. Mayor, Cllr Russell Theron said: "I think we are all in agreement that community space is important but change can be difficult. Crosfield Hall was originally introduced by Romsey Future, to provide residents with a space suitable for community group meetings, commercial events and social functions.
