An in-depth feasibility study has been carried out to investigate the options for retrofitting and refurbishing The Arc, in Winchester, in order to reduce its carbon emissions. An in-depth feasibility study has been carried out at The Arc. This study was carried out by Passivhaus specialists Beyond Carbon, building services engineers Hive Group, and quantity surveyors SKP3. The group of experts conducted a detailed analysis of the building's energy performance, using the latest technology to take unobtrusive U-value measurements. The £2.7m retrofit work recommended by The Arc feasibility study will cut energy bills by 44 per cent and reduce operational carbon emissions by 60 per cent across a two-phased programme.
