['Sophie Day']
Hampshire Chronicle | News
Gina Rees, who lives on a working farm near Hursley, recently completed Holly and the Little Lost Octopus, which follows the adventures of an octopus named Wiggles, navigating life on a farm.
The idea for the book came from Gina's interactions with children during school visits and fairs, where they were curious about Wiggles's fate after the publication of her first book My Special Place.
Gina Rees has published her second book(Image: Gina Rees)The story touches on climate change and the efforts farmers are making to combat it, along with small ways children can contribute.
Gina plans to continue school visits to educate youngsters, especially around World Book Day and World Earth Day next spring.
Gina's stall featured a craft area where children coloured a Wiggles headband, promoting the message "reduce, reuse recycle".
