Temporary traffic lights are in place on the A36 from the Ower roundabout to Whinwhistle Road towards Wellow. Southern Water are doing utility repair and maintenance emergency works northbound by the Shelly Lane Junction. The roadworks and temporary lights are causing significant delays along the A36, extending from Wellow to the Ower roundabout and towards the M27. The AA have said: "Traffic is heavier than normal and slow traffic on A36 both ways at Shelley Lane." National highways state that the work is a crucial emergency water project, and it will continue until Friday, September 26, at 11:59 pm.
