Accompanied by his son, he surrendered to the police at around 10:30 p.m. on September 22, a day after the violent rally that took place in Manila. According to the police, the suspect admitted having stabbed the victim, a resident of Taguig City, during the riot that took place on Claro M.Recto Avenue. The boy was rushed to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival. He was the only known casualty in the said rally.
