On June 6, 2025, the M-Pesa Foundation announced Wezesha Mama, a new nationwide programme to help women’s groups in Kenya grow their businesses and improve their lives. The launch took place at Mombasa Sports Club during the M-PESA Sokoni Festival, as the Foundation marked 15 years of making a difference in Kenyan communities. Wezesha Mama aims to support over 500 registered women’s groups across all 47 counties. Participants will also join the M-PESA Mama Network, a community where women entrepreneurs can share ideas and learn from each other. With Wezesha Mama, the M-Pesa Foundation is taking bold steps to support women and strengthen communities across Kenya.
