Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a house fire at 6.49pm. Fire crews from Yeovil Fire Station were sent to the scene to investigate and once there confirmed that the fire was contained to the oven. Crews used two breathing apparatus, two hoses and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to ventilate the property of smoke which was pouring from the oven. The fire was fully extinguished by 8.11pm.
