Netherclay House Care Home are gearing up for a special celebration as one of their residents nears their 100th birthday this week. Four days after her 21st birthday, Audrey married her husband Herbert at Trinity Church on September 28, 1946. Audrey worked in Co-op Electrical store during this time period. Her favourite saying is “use it or lose it”, according to Netherclay House Care Home staff. When asked the secret to her long life, Audrey said: “Maybe remaining active” explains why she has almost lived 100 years.
