Gideon Amos, the Liberal Democrat MP for Taunton and Wellington, joined the challenge at Chelston on Thursday, September 18. The initiative, led by Bluebird Care Taunton, Mid Devon, West Somerset & Sedgemoor, aims to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. Participants are collectively cycling 982 miles, symbolic of the 982,000 individuals living with dementia in the UK. The Bluebird Care team are taking on the distance on a static bike as they aim to raise vital funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society. After cycling for the fundraiser, Bluebird offered Mr Amos a health and wellbeing check as part of its Care Assist scheme.
