Leland Fire/Rescue to dedicate new fire engine with Push-In CeremonyLeland Fire/Rescue (Photo: WWAY)LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Leland invites the community to celebrate the arrival of Leland Fire/Rescue’s newest fire engine at a Push-In Ceremony on Wednesday. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fire Station 52, located at 1379 River Road. According to a press release, this event is a chance to meet local firefighters and Town Council members while taking part in a time-honored fire service tradition. Together, firefighters and community members will help push the new engine into the bay, symbolically placing it into service. “Ensuring our firefighters have reliable equipment means our residents can count on receiving the best possible help when they need it most.”
