Netball Australia has landed a $15 million sponsorship agreement with Visit Victoria after Hancock Prospecting pulled out of its contract with the sport. “Victoria is a proud sporting state and we are delighted to announce a new partnership with Visit Victoria,” said Netball Australia chief exec Kelly Ryan. Wallam’s fellow players supported her and, following meetings with Netball Australia, it became clear that Hancock felt its position was no longer tenable given the comments. This new sponsorship, however, should hopefully make Netball Australia and the Diamonds’ financial position less precarious. “Visit Victoria is a proud supporter of netball and this investment will benefit all levels of our game.”
