A CUPPA, a slice of cake and a donation were the order of the day at a Macmillan coffee morning in Shirley. Residents at Bower Lodge were joined by Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst, Solihull West and Shirley MP, where £189 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event took place in the comfy Owners’ Lounge at the development on Stratford Road, and was part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign. Attendees gave generously and Churchill topped up the fundraising by donating £5 to Macmillan for every visitor who attended.
