Former Marine fighter pilot Amy McGrath blasted the speeches from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and President Donald Trump on Tuesday to a room full of the top U.S. military leaders. Among the things McGrath schooled Hegseth on was his claim that there were no female and male standards for combat soldiers. There are combat standards of everybody, she said — in her case it was being able to fly a fighter plane. "And part of when we opened combat jobs to women, those of us who were in those jobs wanted one standard to be set. That speech was bonkers by the president, and everybody sitting in that room knows that we don't have a coherent foreign policy or defense policy.
